Building Churches to Transform Lives
Frequently Asked Questions about Gifts:
WHAT GIVING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Our most popular method of giving has been through “gift-overs.” To do this, you simply indicate on your investment application or beneficiary forms where you would like the proceeds of your investments to go should you pass on before redeeming your investment. Other options include bequests (a gift through your will), cash gifts or when closing out an account (or at any other time you choose), or through a deferred gift arrangement such as a trust.
You may make gifts using any ADF investment product. We stand ready to assist you in fulfilling your giving objectives. You may also contact any Alliance organization directly or The Orchard Foundation which can assist you in all these areas.
WHAT ALLIANCE MINISTRIES CAN I SUPPORT WITH MY GIFT?
In addition to ADF, your gift may be designated* to The Christian and Missionary Alliance for general purposes (The Great Commission Fund) or for specific projects (such as urban church planting in the United States) or mission fields; to your local church; or to other Alliance ministries.
* Donor designations generally will be honored to the extent possible. However, ADF reserves full discretion as to the ultimate expenditure or distribution.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND LATER?
Gift-over designations may be revoked or changed at any time. If you change your mind, you just need to notify us in writing. However, certain types of trusts may be established as "irrevocable" for tax purposes and changes may be limited if you choose this option.
ARE MY GIFTS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. ADF is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and may receive tax-deductible contributions. This is also true for the C&MA and its affiliated organizations. You or your estate will receive a receipt at the time the gift becomes effective or irrevocable (for certain trust arrangements).
